The CONNECT-EU Nanobio + Nanomed group is working to foster Catalan participation on the 7th Framework Program in projects where nano-biotechnology is used in clinical (nano-medicine) and other industrial sectors. Furthermore, the group works defining most useful thematic and instruments to improve this participation in future projects starting in 2013. .
The working group CONNECT-EU. Nanobio+Nanomed + is coordinated by the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC).
Core group consist of research institutions, companies and hospitals with complementary profiles members of the multidisciplinary nanobiotechnology discipline. They are part, with leader roles, of European technological platforms and other international expert groups. Group also counts on the participation and support of twenty public and private sectors organizations such as pharmaceutical, medical technology, animal health, food and environment.
